PRESS RELEASE – On February 18, 2026, the Hendersonville Police Department arrested 28-year-old George Stanley Conrad III of Pisgah Forest on 2 counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and 2 counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor for the possession of child pornography.

Conrad was a resident of Hendersonville when the crimes were alleged to have been committed. He is currently being held at the Henderson County Jail without bond.

The Hendersonville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received a tip in relation to Conrad. Detectives worked closely with the NCSBI, the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office, and the Transylvania Co. Sheriff’s Office throughout the investigation.

Conrad’s arrest came as part of a joint operation between the Hendersonville Police Department, Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office, and the State Bureau of Investigation. While child pornography is not a victimless crime, there are no known victims locally.
